Madison in New York is the story little girl named Madison and her Yorkshire terrier who have many adventures around the city of New York. They dress in matching outfits and visit museums, shops, and landmarks including the Statue of Liberty.
First Lady of New York State, Libby Pataki, and her husband, Governor George E. Pataki, are the parents of four children: Emily, Teddy, Owen, and Allison. She is co-author of Artfully Taught, which uses art from the "New York School" movement to teach children basic shapes; NYC ABC, which ties literacy and tourism together through the use of cultural institutions in the five boroughs of New York City; and Letters to New York: Children Speak Out, a collection of letters written by children from all over the city, state, nation, and world about the attack on the World Trade Center. She has been recognized for her work in children's literacy by Fox News, A&E's Breakfast with the Arts, the National Governor's Association, The New York Daily News, The New York Post, Art News, The Westchester Wag, Networking Magazine, and the Staten Island Historical Society.
Wilson Kimball graduated from Skidmore College in 1990 with honors in government. After working as a speechwriter in the offices of Governor Pataki and his wife Libby Pataki, Wilson graduated from Fordham University in 2000. During this period she co-authored three books with Mrs. Pataki including Artfully Taught, NYC ABC, and Letters to New York: Children Speak Out. Wilson lives with her husband where she continues writing children's books and articles for publication in compilations and in magazines such as Focus.
Madison in New York, written by Pataki and Kimball, was published in November 2004 to wide acclaim and was reprinted only three weeks after its first printing. Available for licensing from Langtons International Agency are Children's Clothing, Children's Stationery and other paper products.
